Fret Vault started as a selfish idea. I kept seeing incredible guitars online that big-box stores would never carry, which meant I had no chance to try them out. So, I decided to open a store dedicated to what I love most — guitars built for rock and metal.

Located just outside Nashville, Fret Vault fills a gap in the local scene. While Music City has no shortage of guitar shops, none are focused on the heavier side of music. That’s where we come in — catering exclusively to players who want guitars that match the intensity of rock, metal, and hardcore.

I’ve been in hardcore, metal, and post-hardcore bands (most recently Lower Still) for over 20 years, and music has always been at the center of my life. This store is more than just guitars — it’s about building a community for heavy players who haven’t had a home in the Nashville area.
